What is Emerald?

Emerald is a gemstone of green color belonging to the family of beryl gems. The Emerald is popular as panna in Hindi. Emerald is the gem of the Mercury Planet. Here, Emerald is one of the most valuable stones for its healing and protective powers. It is also helpful in urinary troubles and some heart troubles.

Rituals for wearing an Emerald

The Emerald should wear in the Gold Ring. The stone Should Touch the skin of the wearer. The Best Time to wear the Emerald is two hours after Sunrise. Before Wearing the Emerald it should wash with Ganga Water if Ganga water is not available then wash it with any Holy water. After washing the Emerald it Should keep in green cloth on which mercury yantra is written with Red sandalwood paste.

The yantra should write on green cloth with red sandalwood paste as follow:

First of all the yantra has to be honored by the tilak and then the flowers offered and the Emerald should be placed in front of the yantra. The gemstone should worship by reciting the mantra of Mercury God given below Either 108 Times.

   “OM BUM BUDHAYE NAMAH OM”

Emerald should be worn on the little finger of the right hand. The pooja should be done facing East, North, or North East and the person should be sitting on a Green mat or green woolen cloth or a green blanket.  To please the planet the person should donate green cloth/green moong to any beggar or can be given to pandits in a temple.
